## What it is

ACE Platforms is job-management software for **exterior contractors** — roofing,
siding, window and gutter companies. It covers the whole job in one system:
door-to-door canvassing, the sales pipeline, measurement-driven estimating,
e-signature, scheduling and production, per-job costing, commissions and
profit-and-loss reporting.

## Who it is for

Residential exterior contractors, typically running their own sales teams and
crews. It is not general-purpose field-service software adapted for roofing — it
was built inside a working exteriors company against real jobs.

## What makes it different

- **Job costing is first-class.** Every job carries its real cost, so gross
  profit and the P&L are derived rather than estimated.
- **Estimating reads the measurement.** Line items carry formulas against
  measurement fields, so ridge cap reads ridge feet and starter reads eaves plus
  rakes. Change a measurement and every dependent line updates.
- **Commissions recompute themselves** as jobs move, get paid or change, with
  approved entries frozen and reversals as visible negative lines.
- **Canvassing works with no signal.** Knocks, notes and GPS capture offline and
  sync when reception returns.
- **Ventilation is calculated properly** — attic area derived from roof area and
  pitch rather than from squares, with intake counted rather than guessed.
